Hi ViikaMisaMarie!  Welcome to SL and to the Sl forums.  The rest of you!  Give her a break.  She is very new.  My advice to you, is don't give your heart away too soon.  Things change in SL very fast, and you could end up with your heart broken.  If you need someone to chat with, or just hang out with, look me up, or friend me!  Far out!

Hello Viika, you seem like a very kind, open, and vulnerable person. There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to meet and find someone, but some caution needs to be applied. People aren't always who they say they are in SL, and from how you described yourself (how you put others before yourself, etc) you could possibly open yourself up to some potential hurt. SL is a great place to meet friends, but it's not always a good idea to rush into relationships. Take your time and get to know people first.

Hi Angel and welcome to SL and the forum!

You sound like one who opens her heart easily.  That can be a very good thing.  I would caution that you make friends first before worrying about finding a SL boyfriend.  Go to places that interest you to meet others who enjoy the same things or join groups with interests that mirror yours. Do not fret about finding a relationship that will move into RL.  Some do.  I know of a few couples who now live together or are married but they are in the minority.

Focus on enjoying your SL experience.

Be careful out there.

Learn to make friends, find things you like to do, learn something new, become a contributing member of the SL community. Worry more about building yourself than having anyone complete you. SL love and dating kinda just happens when you let it. Broken hearts are part of the deal. Don't let that deter you or make you walk away from SL. Establish yourself as part of the community and when/if a broken heart finds you, you won't feel as if your entire SL world is crumbling all at once.

I've seen it happen all too often and it's really sad when good friends lose heart and walk away from SL because they didn't take the time to establish themselves first, so when the inevitable occurred they had nothing to bounce back on.

Being a part of SL can be very rewarding if you take the time to build yourself up first.

Learn to have fun, enjoy the experiences, make connections and remember to turn off your computer once in a while.
