Can I have breedable animals in my Linden Home?

Yes, but be kind to your neighbors. Breedables do put a load on the servers, so overall performance for the sim drops because of their constant use.  Many private estate owners restrict the number of breedables on a sim for that reason.  As long as you (and anyone else on the sim) don't overdo it, though, you're OK.  Two tenants on my sim have a few breedables, and the load is hardly measureable.

BTW, remember that you are not allowed to run a business in your Linden Home. That is, you can't put up signs and advertize your home as a shop, and have commercial traffic there.  It's a residential area.
