Rolig Loon
Let the av sit on the object and then use a control event to trigger your walking animation and control your direction and rate of movement.

Rolig Loon
Yup. That's what I was explaining how to do. You can't make an avatar walk slower, but you can make something that the avatar is linked to move at any speed you like. If you trigger a walking animation as the avatar moves, nobody will be able to tell that the av is actually riding on a "vehicle." See http://community.secondlife.com/t5/LSL-Library/Walking-through-walls/td-p/1390043 . An interesting side effect is that this method also makes you phantom, so you can walk through obstacles and are immune to some forms of griefing.
