BlackWolfSGP
We want to build a virtual hospital for teaching medicine in our college, we would like to know if it is possible to script objects so they can simulate blood preassure measuring, taking blood, performing operations, and other things....(as a secondary question, would we need to buy land?) Knowl Paine
Yes, and Yes. You may be able to receive help from Educational organizations already in SL. You may be able to find related product for sale at Market Place. Some functions will be animations, other can be manually performed. I used to play an operation game on a computer. I learned a lot about the procedures and medications. It was challenging, and fun. http://secondlife.com/destinations/learning
Innula Zenovka
Several British universities were recently involved in a pilot project to use SL to teach medicine. Maybe an idea to contact them for their advice? http://www1.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/teaching/elearning/news/vwvle/
