With the ongoing maintenance issues, is it safe to clear my cache? I have over 10k items missing.

I undesrstand there is an issue with animations missing from inventory, however, I logged in today to find my inventory missing over 10k items. Is it safe, given the ongoing maintenance issues, to clear my cache and allow my inventory to rebuild?

The missing animations don't vex me so much as the thousands of missing items.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The short answer is yes it is safe. Your actual inventory is never kept on your PC. This is only a local copy of the inventory pointers and currently retrieved textures, prims and the like. You may want to wait for the end of the maintenance activity however since Asset Server communication will be iffy during the maintenance period.
