Why can I no longer move outfits to subfolders in the My Outfits folder?

I used to do this all the time.  Now I can't, and the My Outfits folder is getting very cluttered.  I have made sure I'm not wearing anything that is in the outfits I'm trying to move.  But that hasn't helped.

I just discovered by reading other posts that we were never supposed to be able to create subfolders under My Outfits.  A bug allowed us to, and now SL has fixed that bug.  Bummer..   Now I will have re-do all of my previous organizing outside the My Outfits folder.  I wish SL had left the bug alone.  This move forward by SL wais a step backward for me.

Hi Barbara,

It seems that the Outfits folder was never supposed to allow subfolders, and a recent bug fix removed that ability.

I have an idea that MIGHT work, but I haven't done the experiment yet to see if it does.

Create a new folder (at the top level of My Inventory, NOT in the My Outfits folder.)  Call it, say, BarbsOutfits.  Now drag all your outfits from My Outfits into the new folder, and organize, organize, organize.

Sofar i know you dont need to create folders. just wear your outfit, and then you save that outfit as new outfit. In my firestorm viewer the folder get created automatic. sounds a bit like many people are makeing outfits the wrong way.

Which is good if you have, perhaps, 3 outfits. If you have 100, then you want to organize them somehow. I am curious, Richard, how do you think one can do that? Perhaps all the Linden programmers are male?

I found two ways to fix it, i personally chose the second

FIX 1 :
- Create your outfit as usual
- Create a new (sub) folder in MyOutfits and name it as you wish.
- Copy all links from the outfit you created before and paste them in he new subfolder.
(Notam : you are not allowed to delete an outfit folder once created...)

FIX 2 :
Uninstall 4.7.1 and reinstall 4.6.9

Seriously... This is not a bug corrected, it's a bug added...
I wish they can (un)fix it in the next version so that we can organize outfits again.
