I purchased some items and can't find them ... I cannot find anything that says inventory.

Welcome to Second Life Newbyrain!

I don't yet see a profile for you, so I'm thinking you've not yet actually logged into Second Life, but purchased something from the Marketplace. This would be an unusual way to start! It's also possible the profile search is broken (happens all the time) and you have actually been in-world.

If you haven't yet downloaded the viewer and entered SL, then you made your purchase from the Marketplace. Your purchased items will be waiting (in inventory) for you once you arrive in-world. Instructions for getting and running the viewer are in the Quick Start Guide.

Once in-world, you'll find a button that looks like a little suitcase. That's your inventory, which is a directory of all the things you own. Click that and a window will pop up. In that window, your new purchases will probably be near the bottom, below the Trash, or below the divider in "Received Items".

If you are as new as I'm guessing, you'll have a lot of questions. Go through those introductory web pages first. If you need more help, you know where to find us.
