HaxelTheCat
I tried what the directions said but nothing's working. I think I'm just misunderstand but I've tried so many times and I can't get it right! Can someone help me?
0 Madelaine McMasters
Hi Haxel, My snowball shooter only operates in mouselook (press the "M" key to toggle or zoom all the way in on your avatar). Once you're in mouselook, a left click pulls the trigger, tossing the projectile at the center of your view. Your gun may work like that, it's a common technique. Good luck!
0 Lindal Kidd
You fire most guns like this: 1. Wear the gun. If it has both a holstered and a "held" version, be sure to wear both objects. You will only see one...the other is transparent, and you can see it by hitting CTRL+ALT+T. 2. Draw the gun, usually by typing "draw" in nearby chat or by triggering a gesture provided in the gun package. The gun disappears from its holster or its carry position and reappears in your hand. 3. Go into "mouselook" view mode by hitting ESC a few times to give the main UI window the focus, then hitting the M key. Your view should change to a first person view, with a little pip at the center. 4. Use your mouse to put the center pip on your intended target. 5. Click the left mouse button to fire. Guns that fire actual bullets (or snowballs, elephants, household appliances...) will go "bang!" everywhere, but unless you are on land that allows you to rez objects, they will not fire their projectile, and you will see a little notification "failed to rez object because the owner of the land does not allow it."
