Chip Midnight's templates

Hi all,

I've been looking for the download for Chip's whole body templates. I have the individual parts.

Does anyone know if these still exist anywhere?

Failing that, does anyone have them and mind sharing please?

Thanks

Is this what you are talking about?  http://www.robinwood.com/Catalog/Technical/SL-Tuts/SLPages/AVUVTemplates.html

NVM  - as I look at what is in the files, they are still 4 templates - top, bottom, head, skirt - though at the bottom is a slurl to a spot inworld where you can get an all-in-one UV-suit to wear.

Yeah Nyll. Thought it might be good for experimenting in shiny textures like leather or latex. It also means I can personalise shading better. I'd want moodier shading on a grunge outfit than I would for a fairy one kinda thing.

Thank you all so much for your help. I did eventually find it here: http://mistressofdesign.wordpress.com/2008/10/07/rgb-theta-photoshop-plug-in-for-sl-fake-bake/  under Clare's Normal Maps, along with a tutorial for what I wanted it for. Result!

Thanks again for your help

Oh that looks cool. Downloading it myself!

You're quite correct of course, they do. Thank you.

I don't think I was very clear in my OP. What I was looking for were NORMAL maps, not the mesh templates, which I already had. They're more like a sculptmap. Found them now anyway, thank you

Thank you Irene, but those also only come in the seperate parts. I'm looking for the whole avatar on one template.

Thanks for trying though.

Thanks! So it does actually work in Gimp. I cant get it working at all.

I, to be honest, am not sure what you mean about the offsetting? I am quite new to all this, maybe if I could get it to work I would figure it out!

Mmmmm, I will go take another look...............

Thanks again

Does anyone know if the RGB Theta plug-in works in Gimp? I have the Gimp 'PS plug-ins' plug-in installed (if you get my meaning :smileyfrustrated: ) but it still isn't working!  Can anyone shed any light on this (little pun there!)

Thanks in advance

I tried to find you a tutorial for this. It seems that she threatened to write it a lot but never got round to it.

As far as I can tell it's pretty much the same as in photoshop (I must download GIMP and play), except that GIMP doesn't have anchor points.

For this, she suggests changing image size to 1024x1024 then saving under a different TGA name, then offsetting your image by -1024 for the middle then -2048 for the legs, backtracking each time to get back to your starting point.

I never heard of a whole body template and wonder what use it would be as you could not upload it.

Do you by any chance mean skinned body maps. You could create one yourself by uploading the three body templates for each type and creating skins from them.

Alternatively and to save you some time and money, LMC Content Creation have a few template maps for sale in the shop, I think it costs 10L or 50L..not sure.

You can also download a program called slcp on which you can load templates and see how they will look in 3D prior to uploading the textures.
