Hey, I represent Alien 8 SL Ravers and we want to have a patch of land where we can throw our own free parties, play with particles, pump up the volume and do our own thing, away from the sickeningly corporate club culture across the rest of the grid.

Our rave commune will be a place where people can party for free, with no host/DJ tips or any of that junk. We'll also build and have fun.

We don't have any Lindens, so are appealing for somebody with land to generously donate one of their sims to us. This will be much appreciated and will lay the foundations for the third phase of Second Life - an environment we can truly run wild in.

Refresh my memory, though.  Didn't LL host a bunch of sims for "art" not long ago?  If they asked for a full sim to conduct "performance art" they might get away with it.

well they have sand boxes where you can do all that stuff..just have everyone get winamp and someone get a stream..then kick on winamp and get thier url and you can all be on the same station..

you can do just about all the rest you want in a sanbox that allows all that stuff for free..

you have a better chance of that then some really rich person handing over a sim to you..

Yes, that was SL's version of Burning Man.  Several sims devoted to performance art.  Not sure that Alien 8 was involved.  That might have been too much organization for a group of anarchists to manage.
