Because LL is giving you the L's immediately and want's immediate and guaranteed payment.  Only a credit card or verified paypal can do this. Prepaid cards don't guarantee payment like CC's do, they only pay if the funds are available and LL is not set up to deal with them.

possibly loseing potential customers this way :c like me how am supposed to play if cnat buy anything

Well that is that EARNING thing :D

I have been here close to seven years, have MANY "careers" and have never bought one linden or paid for premium account. You don't HAVE to spend RL money here *wink*. You could also get a real credit card. Oh the options!

Sorry, just see too much whining today :D

I actually use a walmart money card and have been for many years with no issues. Its a visa. Not sure of others. I know it works becaue I did it yesterday just fine.

Unfortunately, those cards are hit or miss. Some have all the luck in the world with them, some have none. There is  no real rhyme or reason as to why, how, which cards, when....you get the point I'm sure.

To the OP...You can try your card, if it works, great, if it doesn't work, you'll be out nothing but the few seconds it took to try, so I suggest trying.

If it does not work, use one of the authorized third party exchanges. Yes, you're doing so at your own risk, but it's really your only option. I understand, to some extent, why LL does not accept prepaid cards, they come with all kinds of risks of their own. However, I also wish that they would accept at least some of them. Most places have stopped the whole "we don't take prepaid cards here" policy that they used to have, LL just hasn't joined those ranks yet.

As an aside, I don't blame you for not using paypal, you are not alone in that, many folks do not trust, or simply do not want to use paypal, there is nothign at all wrong with that.
