HELP!!!!

I signed up to second life last month and played around on it for a bit, I bought a premium monthly membership and a  house and piece of land but never really did anything with it, I want to remove my account because I haven't logged in since last month but it wont let me cause I need to "release my land" I have no idea how to do this. 

Can anyone please tell me the quickest easiest way to do this, I don't want to continue paying monthly fees as I never use it.

Go to your property,  open "about land,"  select abandon.
