is way to get an audio log from chat :c ?

just heard a kid get beat up by their parents over the mic and it depressing and i want at least try to do something :c if could at least forward an audio log to police or something idk :c

Oh sure. Just request the audio log from LL (along with the time and date) then send it to the police in the town the "kid" lives in, along with his RL name.  The police can find his address and parents' names. The police would need to get an expert to verify that the voices on the audio log were in fact that of the kid and his parents, and the kid would need to testify that his parents did in fact beat him.

I don't think it makes a difference whether Pamela is serious or not.

Linden Lab does not log audio.

I realize that what you heard was distressing to you, but there's no way for you to know if it was real or an act, nor to identify anyone involved. The police would need far more substantial evidence to act, and you're unable to provide that.

I think Pamela's answer was spot-on. In an ideal world that's what would be possible to do, but as you won't know the kids or the parents doing the beating, and it could be the person in SL was watching a snuff movie or something, there's not really anything you can do except hope you don't encounter anything so distressing again.

But it does make me wonder what kinds of circles you are moving in, looking at this and some of your other posts.

If the kid is a friend, you may want to talk to them about what he can do to help himself and encourage him to do it.  He could call social services, tell his doctor, pastor, teacher, the police etc.
