how do i take a texture from in game and use it as a forum avatar ?

If a friend owns the texture you can ask them to give it to you a copy with full permissions and then you can just open it and save to disk.

If it's full-perm (copiable, modifiable & transferrable) and you have it's author's explicit permission, yes.

It's obviously not full perm, otherwise it would have a "Save" button at the bottom, in which case you could just save it to your hard drive.  All you can do is ask your friend to send you a full perm version of it.
