Others may get indignant with the OP but I get what he says. If he got you all upset thenmaybe it hit close to home. I catch flak for the RL pic I have of myself on my profile. Early 20, s though I look a few years younger. Many is the time while out clubbing I get an im from some middleaged aged daft cow resentful for the fact that I have a pic posted.95% of the time THEY don, t have one on theirs (go figure) yet they show their resentment . Its kind of obvious the type, the BARBIE avis in thigh high boots, halter tops and cut offs. WELL huns I could care less, I eat right, exercise and  take care of myself . Not everyone on here is old, just as many who like myself are youngerso don, t be butthurt over men OR women that choose to care for their health and appearance. Just as it was suggested not to look at the pic he finds a Turnoff if someones pic makes you rentful then keep your anger to yourself because no one is going to remove their pic because someone feels inadequate .

Jamie, this is some information, as you might not be aware of how the Internet and SL works.   Over on the SL Beta grid, our SL profiles are stored from old profile info, including pictures.  So, I just logged into the Beta grid, saw the picture you used to have posted on your profile.  Both, your previous, and the current picture (which you cropped down to only show the face) both came from the same online website.

SO, if that really is you, I'd suggest taking a NEW picture of yourself, one that won't lead people to an internet trove of...ahem...pics.     Post a fresh RL picture, as this will protect you somewhat.   (A mobile device works fine.  My RL profile pic isn't very good, but I snapped it with my iPhone several weeks ago)

Btw, I am "middle-aged" , but neither daft, nor a cow.  ; )

Sometimes when I see a picture that looks too good to be true I do check.

But what could be more exciting than to discover that the girl I'm dating was the star of my favorite Pterodactyl Porn.

It has long been clear to me that porn sites must constantly troll Second Life for RL profile pics to add to their sites. Shame on them!

A lot of those porn sites don't care where their traffic comes from....they just want traffic.

I've also noticed a trend to use Brazilian models.

For better or for worse (that's a whole separate discussion), no matter how much it gets publicised, people just don't seem to get that when you post something on the Internet it becomes searchable.  Nothing wrong with posting, but be knowledgeable.

I can say that the Picuture of her IS HER.

Talking with someone doesn't mean you actually know what they look like.  I know which site those originally came from, and that the site is now defunct. In fact I would wager that many who enjoy a good porn stroll now and again, have seen those pics over the years. They have been posted to hundreds if not thousands of sites by now. Unless your gf is now pushing 40 and those pictures were taken a good 20 years ago, and not just a few years as she states, they can't be her. Those pictures used to be part of a collection people had to pay for, that is what they were created for, amateur porn.

She's also not the first person in sl to use pics from the same woman. That is apparently one very popular amateur nude wife.

Well put Perrie, i C/P your reply and emailed her to add to what I had suggested to her a while back about her picture. I found it floating around on a few websites, some ummmm not that good.Had no idea if she and her husband knew. Not all those photo hosting sites are as SECURE as they say even if you have your account set to private. I learned back inda day of my first avi when I had a picture of myself on the 1st life tab. My wife found the picture on 2 FB accounts and on another of a woman using it to claim I was her BF! Thanmfully my wife did not hit the roof thinking I was carrying on with some girl 1200 miles away. Some people are not that aware of how your picture can GET AROUND on the net.I suggested she not even post her private pics online, heck my wife and I keep our "risque" photos on an external HD.

As for the 2 following trolls that have no life but to keep drama alive, honestly who cares what you think. No one has to answer to you.If her cousin posts or not that her chioce to make but knowing her the little as I do I doubt she would waste time with the likes of 2 losers such as you, shes much the better person.  Here is my xmas gift to you both,,,,,,,,, THERAPY IS YOUR FRIEND!

Well, it's only been a couple of days and this thread has certainly grown. Unfortunately the reponses are from the usual people that sit on thier lazy behinds all day living on SL forums so I will pretty much just omit their comments.

I will just give a quick response to what a "troll" is on these forums. A "troll" on SL forums is usually someone that has an actual life and doesn't view Secondlife as though it's their only life. A "troll" here is someone that questions the behavior of players within SL and brings up topics that require actual logical responses that these "SL MVP's" can't truly fathom because Second Life is their life and anything that threatens to attack that pixilated fantasy bubble they live in must be immediately denouced, rejected, and criticized. Unfortunately, I'm sorry my pixelated friends but this thread was about YOU...not for you.

Now on to the point of this thread.

If you know you're not attractive stop giving people you pictures especially if they never asked for it. If you know you're not attractive stop posting shots up in your profile like you are assuming everyone wants to see because I assure you they don't. If you're old (like most of you are) than you know better to act like a teen on facebook with those poses that tell the world you're way past your experation date. You're in a video game looking for affection,a relationship, a digital affair, an online romance etc. etc. You see when I see your RL picture and my reaction is to spray soap in my eyes  that right there explains to me and others why you can't find a real world romance and why you're resorting to looking for a video game to find love.

Harsh but it's the truth. Reason #1 why I'm so harsh towards these "ducklings" is because these are exactly the same type of clingy/needy people that take SL too seriously and try to push you into a real world romance with them (as that's their ultimate goal). You're meager act of  kindness or even slightest remark that can be considered "affectionate" they'll jump onto like a fatman on a jelly doughnut. It doesn't matter they're looking for the love they can't get in reality so their in the game looking to seek out the first person that gives them the slightest bit of attention (something they don't get at all). They create a romantic fantasy around the idea, they'll stalk you, they'll chase you around, they'll create drama if anyone or anything gets in the way of their goal. They just won't let go of the idea until you ultimately leave SL ,fake your death, or whatever. They're not here in SL to play a game they're in SL looking for a rl boyfriend/husband.

I get it Aphrenity you're too hard on these people yeah yeah so what. The point is keep your pics to yourself if you don't look good. Even people that look good in this game I question but I'm thrice as wary of desperate people with horrible photo's.

You know who you are! and an abundance of you are in this thread! I know it hits home for you but the truth is the truth deal with it! I hope your camera breaks.

The beauty of Second Life is that it can be whatever you want, and you can be whatever you want.

Some people want to use Second Life as a form of RL dating service. Many people have met their mates in Second Life, many marriages, children, etc. have resulted. There is no rule about how attractive one must be to look for a mate!;I cant imagine why anyone would have a problem with them doing that, and posting RL pictures as they would in many other dating services. No one is forced to participate.
