New to SL!

Hey everybody! I'm new, and I have a few questions. I apologize if this isn't in the right forum.

 

I'm looking for an active Star Wars RP. Are there any left around? Most of the ones I've seen look dead. I already have the RCHS combat system too. But I could use some help learning it. If anyone can assist, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Places may 'look' dead to you when you visit but may be very active other times of day.  People are in SL from all over the world.  The people active in the Star Wars RP you found may be very active when you aren't logged in. 

Generally RP's have a group for its players.  Search for it in search and open the group page and find out who the active officers are and contact one of them to find out when the area is active and other details you may be interested in.

My search doesn't work. It says "connection closed" when I open it. And I've already allowed SL through my firewall

Sounds like it has to do with your computer rather than SL, either your firewall (which you say is ok) or your anti-virus program.

i got that "connection closed" once in a while, after some time the connection is able to go thru, that means that the problem may be in the servers.
