Does that mean that SecondLife will be accepting these as forms of payment to purchase Lindens? Or it's too early right now, and be patient more/less and see what happens next? If it does happen, I think people will be buying alot more L's soon enough.

I doubt it...... LL will continue to use PayPal backed up by an approved "instant payment" method like a real credit card and/or a real business checking account with an overdraft credit line. IMHO  Should these alternative currencies become instant payment options backing up the PP credit line then more people may be able to create PP accounts

You have to have a verified PayPal account to use it for your payment information.  You can't validate a PayPal account with digital money.

According to Forbes: PayPal’s announcement does not mean that it will transact the currency on its own platform or that its users will be able to store Bitcoins in their online wallets. Instead, the payments firm is letting its three partners handle the Bitcoin processing for PayPal merchants, which for now will only include businesses like online gaming companies, which offer digital goods.
