Hi everybody, I currently have a job that I just started in SL and I just wanted to know how much everyone else is making on here. So please can you tell me how much lindens you make weekly and how are you making your lindens. Also what's the best way to make lindens. Is it starting your own business?

I make enough money on here to feed my 15 cats, pay for the materials I need to stuff all the roadkill I find, but I can't tell you what job I have in Second Life, or I would have to kill you!!!

The best way to make Lindens would be to roll back time to when Second Life was called Linden World, invest a relatively small amount of real life money into purchasing virtual land, sell/rent out said land, become the first Second Life millionaire.

Or you could travel around Second Life and observe where there may be a niche in the market that you could fill, and be a successful entrepreneur like this fellow:

Some of us are just here for the fun.

Have fun whatever you do.

You first.

You really can't compare what everyone else makes to what your making as its probably comparing apples to oranges.  It really depends on the 'job' your doing, how long and how hard you work.  Content creators and land barons can make quite a bit, especially the ones that are established - or not.  Dj's make more than club hosts.  Escorts may make very little - or a nice sum.

In short it varies widely.  A few make enough to pay their RL bills and make a RL living here, some make enough to pay their SL tiers and have enough left for their other SL needs.  But most people make a few hundred $L a week for mad money.

BTW, you don't have to shout in big red letters at us. We can 'hear' you just fine.

300

is pretty consistent week after week

i have one of them premium businesses tho which runs at a loss. so i get a weekly subsidy off the linden government to not make stuff and oversupply the market with piggys and chikkins

i think is some kinda evol plot to subjugate me by making me depend on the government or something just to survive. is terrible bc is like corrupt my soul to keep taking handouts. one day i am going to make a uprising and a chikken army. so we can be free

I make 0L weekly.

I spent about $200 USD per month on tier alone. I spent maybe that much again buying Lindens for various things, including new things for my land. (If there is a landscaping shop I haven't bought half of, in Second Life, by now, I don't know about it.) I sometimes spend up to $40 USD on a freakin' meeroo.

A unique and original idea, well implemented, is where the money is. Try to find a niche that is not filled, and fill that niche. Ask Desmond Shang, Anshe Chung, or Catherine (owner of meeroos) about that. (Not really. Just look into what they did.)

I didn't think I did well at all until I read this thread. I, by no means, make any RL money here, but I make enough to piddle with buying building materials and to pay my $1400L/wk tier w/out having to buy Ls. I closed my inworld store down for a couple of months as I got burned out on it and am selling on MP only for now, that's where the income is derived from.

I tried to make Lindens with prims first, that went well. But then they introduced mesh and materials and I find it too hard to make mesh, good looking,  dollars, so I gave up on that and now just use Amex.

Someone asked me this same question who was cashing in $500 USD a month.

The difference with me is I was making 500 USD a month.

How are you making that? Through having good contacts and investing in good equipment.

If I wanted to I know how to get almost L$2000 a day with very little work

What if I told you if I have a good weekend I can make L$15,000

The secret is find the right people get yourself a good structure and good organisation

It's not always what you know but who you know

This is after I downgraded myself from a large club owner to a smaller club. Smaller establishments are easier to manage and also good earners if you have your own customer base
