Disabling Keyboard Shortcuts

I've never really messed around with this sort of thing before but I was curious if it was possible to rebind, or simply disable some of the default viewer keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+q = quit for example). I have a hud I would like to use but many of the gestures are assigned to things like ctrl+g or ctrl+q which have other functionality in my viewer (firestorm). So anyone know if there is a way to disable or rebind keyboard shortcuts?

Edit: Looking through the keys.xml file however doesn't appear to have the keybinds for opening gestures (ctrl+g) or for closing second life (ctrl+q).

It seems rather idiotic to me that anyone would create a hud which uses those particular bindings.  If I were you, I'd try to change them in the hud and leave the viewer bindings alone.  If this isn't possible, I'd contact the creator or simply stop using the hud.
