Myth Valeska
How do I do that? Thanks!
Ariel Vuissent
Open your viewer, go to your preferences, network and cache. There should be a window that tells you where your inventory cache is stored on your computer, and next to it should be the option to clear cache. Click that, confirm, then close your viewer and reopen. For a manual cache, check out LoveAngel's instructions here: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Getting-Started/win-crash-logger-exe/qaq-p/1137165
Peggy Paperdoll
And for Viewer 3 you go to the "Advanced" tab. **Discribing how to's is getting complicated with all the different viewers available.
Ariel Vuissent
Ah. Thank you - good to know. ETA: I agree. I'm all for new features, but I wish they'd keep things in the same places across the viewers, at least...

Nalates Urriah
In the future... There has been a problem of some people not being able to load their inventory. Large chunks of it are missing. This appears to be a combination of things happening together to create the problem. It seems to prevalent in Firestorm 4.4.0 and 4.4.2. FS Support and their wiki have fixes. One article goes into how to delete just your inventory cache, which is different from your main cache. Don’t delete your main cache. That could make your problems worse. That is a last resort step. To delete just your Inventory Cache: Look in: Preferences → Advanced. Do NOT click Clear Cache. Find the cache location, hover your cursor over the field titled: Cache Location. Default Location is: C:\Users\[Win_Login_ID]\AppData\Local\SecondLife\ Navigate to that location using Windows Explorer. Find files that end in: .inv.gz and delete, rename, or move them to another folder. Now start the viewer and log into a deserted region; Pooley, Furball, etc. Open inventory and type a letter into Inventory Search. The inventory should reload and build a new cache.
