Why does Secondlife have the Facebook plugin on their login page when Facebook is deleting as many SL accounts as they can? Can't Linden Labs come to an agreement with Facebook as you promote FB everywhere in SL... doesnt make sense. I love my FB/SL account and will be very upset if they delete me !!

Statement of Rights and Responsibilities
This Statement of Rights and Responsibilities ("Statement") derives from the Facebook Principles, and governs our relationship with users and others who interact with Facebook. By using or accessing Facebook, you agree to this Statement.
Registration and Account Security
Facebook users provide their real names and information, and we need your help to keep it that way. Here are some commitments you make to us relating to registering and maintaining the security of your account:
- You will not provide any false personal information on Facebook, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.
- You will not create more than one personal profile.
So reading this I guess we can't make a facebook account for an avatar, cause we are not giving real names...Don't understand how SL is conected with facebook. Maybe any Linden could explain that to us ![]()

I also think a Linden needs to clarify this policy of encouraging SL uses to use Facebook pages & accounts when we obviously are not supposed to use our SL names on Facebook.
But what is a "real name"? Does it have to be a legal name? If a person is well known by a pseudonym, stage name, professional name, or sub-cultural name, isn't that just as *real* for them as their legal name is? Would "Mark Twain" or "Marilyn Monroe" be allowed to use those names on Facebook, or would they have to register as "Samuel Clemens" and "Norma Jean Baker"?

You can create pages for pseudonyms. You can also create pages for your SL avatar. What you can't do is create a profile with your avatar name. Therefore, if you want to have a page for your avatar, you have to connect it to your RL profile. Some people don't have a problem with this, most do.

Facebook requires you real name. Using your av name violats theit Terms of Service. Those are the accounts they removed.
Here is the why and suggested options (beforet they remove you):
