WolfBaginski Bearsfoot
I may have found one of the primary inspirations for SL fashion design. Margaret Brundage pulp covers
Venus Petrov
I daresay SL fashion is much more diverse than what I see on your link.
Amethyst Jetaime
They look like Gor slave clothes to me. Gor clothing was inspired by the Gor books. Clothing for gor role play is by no means representative of SL fashion. None of those things have even a remote resemblance to the clothes in my wardrobe or the wardrobes of most people I know. Nyll Bergbahn
Perhaps Gorean silks were inspired by those drawings but like Venus and Amethyst, I don't have any Gorean type clothes either. I think SL fashion is more inspired by online stores such as honeybuy, jovani, highglossdolls, anatomicbomb, Nimue's and a host of other online fashion stores. Browsing through those web pages brings me much closer to SL fashion than the Margaret Brundage illustrations.
Tiffy Vella
Those covers are pure vintage shockers! I'm laughing, and am trying not to imagine what the stories inside are like. /me defies all temptation to google for further bodice-ripping details.
