write a message, how to start a new one?

Silly question, where do I start a new message? From the dashboard I mean :)

You don't start a message from your dashboard.  Your dashboard, at secondlife.com, is where you access at sorts of system information and manage your own account details.  It's also where you go to buy and sell L$ on the LindeX, and where you connect to Linden Lab support.

If you want to send someone a private message through the forums, click on their name to open their profile here and then click the button to Send a Private Message.
