I have a rezzer that says I need to add a prim to use. How do I do that?

First of all, I can't understand why anyone would package a garden lamp in a rezzer box.  Those are only needed if a build can't be joined into a single linkset.

But it sounds as if the rezzer is improperly packed.  You should contact the seller for assistance.

1. Rez a cube prim on the ground.

2. Right click and TAKE it to your inventory.

3. Select your lamp object with your Edit tool (just right click on it and select EDIT).

4. Click on the Contents tab in the Edit window.

5. Drag the cube that you just made from your inventory and drop it in the Contents panel.

6. Close the Edit tool.

Now you have a cube prim in the rezzer.  This is a nice trick that builders used to use when sculpties were more popular than they are today.  The cube that you dropped in will be the basis for a newly-rezzed object.  The rezzer script in your lamp will apply a sculpty texture to that cube, converting it into a new object when you activate the rezzer, probably by clicking on it.  The advantage of doing it this way is that since YOU made the cube, the rezzed sculpty will show you as its creator.

I haven't seen many of those things for a while, mostly because sculpties are pretty obsolete, now that we have mesh objects in SL.
