You haven't give us much information to work with. It appears you haven't yet logged into Second Life for the first time, so I'm wondering if you've even downloaded the viewer. Here are some things you should read to help you along...

If you have downloaded the viewer and it gets stuck at "Initializing VFS", then download the release candidate viewer from here...

If you're running Windows, click the "CYGWIN" entry on the "Install" line. If you're on a Mac, click the "Darwin" link.
