Well, no, actually....... Start by having something to sell.  Most merchants sell things that they make themselves, since it's comparatively hard to get a creator interested in having someone else sell his/her stuff.  THEN start worrying about a place to sell stuff, maybe 6 months from now.  Longer if you've never done this before and don't have any RL skills as a texture artist or 3D modeler.

and a zillion tutorials on the Internet.  Start hanging around the Building and Texturing forum and the Mesh forum, and consider taking a free starter course at someplace like Builders Brewery in world.
