I made a shape for both a pool & hot tub, but how can i create the water???

Hi Ashley,

There are two ways I know of to make water in a pool or tub:

1) You can make a flat prim that fits the opening of your tub (it'll be larger, but the edge will be hidden as you bury the prim inside) and texture the top face with a watery texture and set it partially transparent. They you'll probably want to animate the texture. Here's the wiki page for doing texture animation...

I've done that in the past, and needed at least two prims, with textures moving in different directions, one very slightly above the other, to get something halfway pleasing.

2) If you've got the ability to terraform, lower the ground where the tub will be so it's below the SL waterline, then drop the tub in the hole until the SL ocean rises through the bottom. That produces the most realistic water.
