No copy/No mod/No trans

I've been messing around with building for a while but it always stumps me when I look on the marketplace and see someone with their item as no copy/no mod/no trans. I am pretty sure I knew that it wasn't possibe, but why or how can people do this?

I think - Permissions are always at least as stringent as those of contents or components. So withcontents or components whose permissions are individually no-trans/copy/no-mod and trans/no-copy/no-mod, for example, the assemblage has all three permissions denied.

The way it is done is slightly deceptive, you can set the prims of an object to be transfer only and you could include something in the contents (script, notecard whatever) that is copy only and the overall perms would end up as "no anything" but as you have probably found out yourself, there is no way to actually set the prims themselves to "no anything".

As for why someone would do it...I have no idea, personally I would never buy something with no perms and I can`t see why anyone else would either.

As Peewee has said, it can only be done if one of the contents inside the the object has contradictory permissions. I too would never buy anything with no permissions. In fact I never buy anything that is not copy/mod.
