Leather texturing? silk? Help please! D:

Hi I was wondering how do I find or make something like the bottom of this dress https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/villena-Apricot-Skater-Skirt-Dress/5555654 It's not leather... and its not silk... it just looks like idk how to explain it... like in between I guess? where can i find a texture like that or make it? please help me D:

or maybe something like this? I know thats one of my dresses I retextured but i just added the color not really the look of it... it looks similar to shiny leather you know? how do i do that

Have you tried materials? Specular map specifically? With leather I'd use a fairly wide, tinted specular. Maybe a normalmap to add a hint of texture. Silk is trickier because of the way it reflects light. Narrower specular, a tick of glow possibly might do it.

I think that they have baked that texture for that dress rather than doing it in 2d templates.

you got to see in the software of your choice how to bake different channels and get them in a psd file so you could mix them all together, eventually still be able to mod single channels in photoshop.

yes it surely might have specular , ambient occlusion and diffuse map and probably also baked lights .

That wrinkles effect as they said could come out from a normal or a displacement map applied to themesh when they baked the texture .

Follow some baking training classes for your software.
