How to create "Online/Offline" Board

Okay, I'm a noob. Hopefully you all understand what I'm talking about. Let's say you go into an inworld store, there is a board with the storeowners picture on it, and when you click on it, you can send them a message and it'll tell you if the person is on or offline.. Well, I have an inworld store now, and I don't know what they're called nor do I know how to make one. How can I make these? The help will be very much appreciated. Thanks!

If you have moderate skill at writing LSL scripts, you use the llRequestAgentData function to determine whether a person is online, and you use the llEmail function to send an e-mail message to a known address.  If you are not skilled in LSL, you either post your request in the InWorld Employment forum to attract a hungry scripter to write something for you or you look in Marketplace or in script libraries online or in world for a scripted message board.  It's a pretty common item, so you shouldn't have trouble finding one.
