I've noticed the same problem...and it's even worse today it's horrible! And it's not just me. I'm not wearing high prims, I'm not around high prims, I've cleared my cache and everything. EVERYONE I know is having the same problem.

I have been experiencing the very same Tate - I get dropped just about every other teleport if not every one.  And even in the tp everything takes much longer than it ever did before.  Basically, I click to TP and then wait....slowly watching the world fade around me but I can still receive IMs, group chat, local chat, notices etc.  The world continues to de-rez then finally I get dropped (or on those rare occasions I actually TP somewhere).  The worst part is that SL logs me back into home each and every time rather than putting me back at my last location as I have selected.  It seems I get caught in a kind of limbo and SL doesn't know where I am so back to home with me!  It is annoying.

I did read in the the latest FJ Linden blogs ( Technology Improvements for Q1 Including Raising Group Limit to 42 ) that LL has been 'working' on the teleporting system.  Making 'improvements'.  I have to say in the past few weeks my teleporting has gone from good to bad.  I rarely ever had trouble and when I did I could usually find the problem (sim down, high prim article of clothing or accessory, empty cache etc).  This is not the case now.  I have tried TPing bald with only minor non-prim clothing on and zero scripts on me at all.  Half the time I am unable to teleport at all and get logged out - the other half it is still a long process of teleporting (see description of area de-rez above).  After reading the aforementioned blog, I do believe THAT is the problem I am experiencing.- the so called 'improvements'.

The other problem I have been having started the same time the teleport issue did - major lag.  I have had SL lag, who hasn't.  But now I can barely type at times- letters get lost in the lag and I stutter frequently.  I have had my lag meter on and it seems I am experiencing very server lag alternating with network lag.  But it is sudden and brief.  So basically I go from all green to server red and/or network red then quickly back to all green.  This happens all the time now.  I can be standing still in an empty sim and still experience it.  I can't build easily or even import things because half the time things are not rezzing properly.  It is driving me crazy.  Apparently I am not the only one having this trouble but the question is how to fix it.  I have done everything I can to aleviate any lag on my end but I think I am having connection issues between where I live and the SL servers coupled with server lag in SL.  Does anyone have any information about that?  I contacted my IP and they said the could not detect any issues on their end (they even came out to troubleshoot the line) but when I do speed tests to California my latency jumps to 100+ms!

SL has turned to crap is what has happened. Im having issues with logging in and out, teleporting, stuff is not being found in the database that is clearly in my inventory. Im about a hairs breadth from quiting this messed up pile of crap.

LL need to get their act together and stopp adding stuff until they have fixed whatever the hell it is that they broke. Ontop of that they need to start treating people with free accounts better. This kind of support for the people who put the most money into SL is intolerable.

I have also been experiencing these issues since the rolling restarts earlier this week.

I have a high spec PC and a fast DSL internet connection.

Before this week I could teleport anywhere reasonably quickly and had next to no lag.

Now it takes ages to teleport, as Lera said with things gradually disappearing, then just water, then a couple of objects, then 5 minutes or so later everything else.

I have also had to fix scripts in my products because certain LSL functions behave differently in certain regions.

Crazy.

I suspect the new feature of 42 group memberships may be slowing things down as ppl add more than 25 groups to their profiles. Also if an avatar has a very high Avatar Rendering Cost (open Advanced menu and find Rendering then ARC) - this will give you a score which appears over yr head. If its Red colored and it shows more than 5000 to 6000 then this may contribute to TP problems. A high ARC score means the avatar is running many scripts in shoes, clothes, attachments and hair which is like having a very heavy anchor hanging from your ankles

"f there is an unexpected load, then we may need to lower the group limitation to maintain acceptable performance levels across the grid. If we decide to do that, then any Residents who have up to 42  groups will not lose their memberships. But, other Residents will not be able to exceed the new limit."

It is very simple, they really need to look at their infrastructure. For example if I ping www,google.com, I get a reply of 32ms. When I ping www.secondlife.com I get a reply of 70ms. And that is just the website!!
