weird shadowing on my torso.

Hi, My avihas very weird shadowing. My torso is darker on the stomach area anad lighter on the chest and my face does not seem quite right. i have no idea about windlighting and do not know how to find out what driver i am using....please help. Thank you very much i greatly appreciate it.

It's hard to know what the problem is.  Maybe it would be easier if we could see a photo. Click the Options link on your question and select EDIT.  Then click the little icon above the Edit window that looks vaguely like a pic of a mountain and then upload the photo from your hard drive.

You may be seeing nothing more than sunlight coming from an odd angle, especially at mid-day.  Try changing your time of day to see if the problem goes away. 

You could also have a poorly textured skin.  Try wearing a different skin.

Or, as you suggest, you might need to update your graphics drivers.  It's not a bad idea to update them periodically anyway, just in case.  See http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Graphics-cards/ta-p/700073#Section_.1.5

Or it might be something completely different.

You might also be wearing a Mesh avatar, and are not wearing the alpha mask layer that hides the underlying avatar body, allowing it to poke through.
