You can search the in-world Classified ads, under the Employment category.

However, a few cautions before you get your hopes up.

1.  Most places won't hire you until you have at least 30 days experience.

2.  Most places that WILL hire newbies are not very good places to earn money.

3.  Even at "good" places, the pay sucks, compared to Real Life minimum wage.

4.  A lot of jobs require that you make some investment in your avatar appearance to be successful, or even to get hired.

For all these reasons, you are much better off, at least for your first few weeks, not worrying about a "job."  Have fun exploring and learning about SL.  Make use of the many freebies...you don't really need money.  And, when you DO decide you really need some money, it's a lot easier to just buy some, with a credit card or a verified PayPal account.

Jobs are not part of the "gameplay" as this idea would explain your question. Every job offered in Second Life is offered by another resident, who may need help for his/her business. And like RL they probably will ask for qualifications. It may turn out, that its going to be difficult to get hired, because you are new and people will expect that therefore your avatar may look like a starter avatar or that you are not able to do your job without assistance, because you lack experiance.
