I am curious about this question. Knowing that the teen grid has switched over, and there are now teens in SL. If your wanting to adopt a child/teen from say MAW or Next Gen Inc. for family RP, would you adopt a RL teen, or would you adopt an adult who is RP'ing a teen?

I find the whole thing extremely wierd but, hypothetically, I'd adopt an adult RPing.
Because they are still an adult and must recognise the boundaries of RP, respect TOS, etc. etc.
I can't imagine ANY teenager in RL wanting to come to a virtual world and be the same!
