Music in land parcels

So we and a friendare renting land that allows sound so we wanted to eather play music from my webserver or from a iHeartRadio radio station  i tried to setup the first one and got no where  and i wouldnt even know where to start with the second one even though its prefered....   this is my first time trying to do anything like this  anyone have any pointers?

iHeart Radio won't work in SL.  To stream your own music you need a shoutcast stream and the right software such as SAM.  You can rent streams, just look on MP or in world for them. 

Here is the article in the wiki that tells you all you need to know, other than teaching you how to use the software on y our computer, but there are tutorials on the web for that.

i had tried WinAMP and shoutcast and shoutcast just hung on "Connecting"

Shoutcast is used by a good percentage of the DJ's in SL.  So if your's hangs up on 'connecting' then its a problem on your end or with the stream you are renting. 

Try asking for help in the Winamp forums about your issue.
