I was digging around the other day and reacquainted myeself with some qav links. So I thought I might put them here so they're all in the one place.

Qav  2008 and 2010 can be found here along with a link to the source code: http://qavimator.org/

The list of outstanding bugs and feature requests can be found here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=170979

Someone has taken the qav source code and what looks like fixed bits and added bits.  I have no idea what to do with the code but for anyone who can take it and run with it as it's gpl licenced of course. https://code.google.com/p/animik/source/browse/trunk/qavimator/src/animationview.h?spec=svn137&r=137

anyone who has the technical wizardy to take the source code and upgrade it (apparently this little beauty was originally built in 3 weeks and classified as still in alpha by the developer before the dev wandered off to do other things) will, of course, earn the eternal gratitude of rather a lot of people.

Thanks for posting this.  I really wish someone would update it and fix the bugs. I use to use Qavimator (ok, messed around with it) but I was told recently that it doesn't work for Mac and crashes on saving.  :-(

Qavimator was really a nice "free" product and worked well.  I know a lot of animations have come out of out Qavimator over the years.  I know Danish Visions use to teach classes on it helping many folks learn to animate and make poses and animations.  Would love to see some crafty scripter donate their time and effort to  fix it for folks to use once more.

Hey,

Im using qavimator but i cant do anything with fingers
o.O

Somebody have idea about that ??

You cannot animate the fingers in SL because there are no bones in the SL skeleton.

You can only change the hand pose by scripted means which calls up on pre-set finger morphs.

You can change hand pose when uploading an animation or pose, too. The handpose is semi-persistant, sometimes the fingers will flex out.

You can also assign a facial expression to an animation on upload, but that one flashes just briefly , when the pose if played for the first time. It's really not very useful.
