where can I find my account settings?

Which ones?

If you are looking for the settings related to billing, your contact information, land holdings, etc., you should be looking on your dashboard at secondlife.com.  There's a full menu down the left side of the main page.

If you are looking for settings that control what you see in world and how your viewer responds to SL, you should start with Me >>> Preferences, in your viewer.  There are also settings that you can customize on each of the menus across the top of your screen, including the Advanced and Develop menus.

If you are trying to submit a support case or a JIRA report and need to get the information about your computer, viewer, and server connections, look in the Help menu in your viewer for About Second Life.
