how do i contact linden labs to cancel an account, i tried and it shows cancellation pending

Why cancel?  You can just not log in and if in the future you decide to come back your account will be there for you.  If you cancel now you'll have to pay a fee to restore it if you change your mind in the future and there is no guarantee any assets like your inventory can be fully restored..  If you are a premium member abandon any mainland or Linden Home you have and just downgrade to a basic account.

If you must cancel, you can do it yourself through your dashboard, yourself.  You will need to abandon any land or Linden home you have before you do that though.

To add a small clarification to Lindal's correct answer ..... Your premium account is prepaid, so it will remain in force until the end of the period you have paid for.  At that point, the cancellation you requested will be effective.  Until then, your request is "pending", so you will continue to receive the L$300/week stipend and have all other premium privileges.  Linden Lab does not offer refunds.  If you don;t want to use the remainder of the period you have already paid for, just don't log in.
