If your account truly were cancelled, you wouldn't be able to log in here. Double check the address that it came from to be sure that Linden Lab sent it.  It could be a phishing exploit, hoping to get you to give the sender your login information.

If you have a non-technical issue related to billing concerns, you can call the Linden Lab billing team at the following toll-free numbers at any time 24/7.  They will be able to tell you quickly what the status of your account is.

US/Canada: 800-294-1067
France: 0805-101-490
Germany: 0800-664-5510
Japan: 0066-33-132-830
Portugal: 800-814-450
Spain: 800-300-560
UK: 0800-048-4646
Brazil: 0800-762-1132

Long distance ( not free, but you can use Skype to save some cost ) : 703-286-6277

If there was a link in that email, DON'T CLICK IT. If you already clicked it and entered you user name and password, your account has been compromised. Search "phishing" in the Knowledge Base and follow the instructions. If you can still do so, change your password right now.

Hi

hacker use the system to get into you computer.

check that your Anti-virus is up to date, and run a full scan.

change your password, for this account, and do a clean install.

the helper have will offer help, but you may already be hack.

you will not know if you have, jeffrey1 say do not click on links, from SL, he set of rules will keep you safe.

do not tell people about your real life information, even about your computer. this will give a hacker a easy time to hack you.

enjoy hope you are ok.

Oh Jeffery, you're back! We thought you were AFK. Welcome back.

The shotgun do everything advise is a bit over stated. This is a phishing Scam that has been going on for quite a while. The purpose is to get the intended victim to give up their account credentials by clicking on the link in the email. Changing the password if they still can is the correct advise.

Reinstalling the SL software is a waste of time and causes the OP to waste their time instead of doing what they need to do when their account has been compromised.

BTW - referencing your previous banned account will probably call attention to your attempt to get around the ban.

Rolig & Lindal are spot on in their advise. Jeffery is as well with the exception of the advise to reinstall your SL Viewer.

Besides changing your account password immediately verify that your RL Address information and account email address were not changed. If they were correct them immediately.

Good Luck.
