Abuse and Griefing

Ok , So I've Been Having This Issue With This Person That Just Popped Out The No Where Into My Community.. They Started Showing Up Bothering Tenants Saying They Wanted To Spank There Behinds And A Whole Bunch Of Other Crap That If I Say Your Jaws Will Drop.. Well I Started Banning Them And The Person Started Coming Back On Alts And Getting Names Of People Who Were On Sim And Tping Out And Iming Those Residents Who Were On The Sim On One Of The Alts.. Well I Have Lots Over 40 Tenants Over The Last Year And Im Getting Sick Of This.. I've Been Reporting Filling Tickets Everything On The Book And Still Nothing.. Linden Labs Has Done Nothing To Stop This And It's Getting Out Of Hand.. And What Bothers Me The Most Is That They Send You A Nice Little Email When You Upload 400 Usd In Lindens But They Can't Deal With A Simple Problem That They Can Just Hardware Ban The Person.. I Repeat.. Over The Last Months Me And My Residents Have Filed Over 100 Abuse Reports.. And Still No Answer From Linden Labs.! I Would Really Apreciate Any Help.. I Have The List Of All The Alts Just In Case Anyone Who Want's To Help Needs It.

I'm pretty sure of who you're referring to. Does this griefer make no effort to hide his identity, and do some of his alts have old-style last names even though they were created after November 2010? That means he signs up at a special outside login site that's been set up - they were the only ways to get last names after November 2010 and there were very small number of last names available on them. Outside login sites are usually run by organizations like colleges. If he's at a college with a major Second Life presence he can log in from any one of dozens of computers and there's no way Linden Lab could block this without shutting down the entire school. Linden Lab probably knows exactly what school he goes to but since he has so many machines available there's no way to hardware ban him. He loves having people mad at him and loves attention and knows there's little the Lab can do about him with the way accounts are set up.

Block him, ban him, and don't give him any reaction. With luck he'll get bored.

Oh, and -- DON'T make Youtube videos about him telling everyone how nasty he is and turn him into a celebrity in his own mind .*facepalm*

You will never hear the result of a Linden Lab decision to punish someone.  You file an AR, get a note of acknowledgement, and that's it.  Linden Lab may well have suspended or banned this griefer's account every time you have complained, but it's extremely difficult to keep a determined griefer from coming back as an alt on a different machine from a different IP address.  Your best bet is to AR and ban him each time he appears, and then to pretend he doesn't exist.  He's having fun tweaking your nose.  Don't let him know that it's working.

BTW, there's something very wierd going on with your caps key.  You may want to have someone take a look at it.

It's absolutely shameful, that there is NOTHING or any responce from Linden Labs. Now you are right, the more you speak to them the more "it" (yes we refer to them as a it becuase well...we just do..They go on and on. The thing that is most disturbing is that they are targeting child avatars, and not only that impersonating owners of other family rp towns, and the list goes on. This person I dont belive is in college but yes the alts are all similar, and simliar in profiles as well. Its sad when you spend so much and how LL is quick to swipe that credit card, but when you have a serious issue they are "unable to assist". Or simply ask if you have properly filled the abuse report form out right. Its people like this that ruin it for those who generally want to have a good time, and enjoy their sl. So...we know they bother other towns, and areas. We know and learned quite a bit, yet nothing is done by it. Whats the next step? Or Is there even one. But deffiantly speaking to them, it reminds me of a spoiled child who wants attention any way they can get it and they sure will take attention good or negative. I just hope theres something or some sort of next step that can be taken. You can only mute and ban so many, and it gets tough when they continually make new avatars each day its almost to the point of beyond annoyoing. So any help is apperciated
